Empowering Visit

Empowering Visit at the AIDS 2004
Bringing the Conference to the Communities and the Communities to the Conference.

As part of the Community Program of AIDS 2004, we are planning to organise an amazing opportunity for delegates to be involved in the Empowering Visit - Study Tour Program.

Our aims are:

1. To provide an opportunity for delegates of the conference, to learn through the real experiences of the community, by visiting Thai Community Organisations.
2. To provide an opportunity for Thai Community Organisations to share experiences with, and learn from friends, working in similar fields in other countries.

Check back on this page after March 26, 2004 for the Second Announcement with more details of this fantastic program.

Study Tour Program
This exciting program will draw on the experience and expertise of Thai Community Organisations from
three Regions of Thailand

• North
• North East
• Central including Bangkok

The program will provide delegates with the opportunity to maximize their visit and time in amazing Thailand. There will be the great opportunity to undertake valuable Study Tour visits, but also the opportunity to see and experience the world renowned Thai culture and hospitality while visiting interesting destinations.
The Empowering Visit programs will be run over a period of one – three days depending on the location of the visits. Some of the visits may occur during the conference, while others will occur once the conference has been completed.
The fee for each program involved will be dependent on the location of the visits. The fee will cover all costs including transport, accommodation and food. The fee cover cost only, no donation to the organisations, so we regret that it is not possible to offer any reductions in price.

Please note there are no scholarships available for the Empowering Visit Program.
